Accumulation of ice was observed on the door in the walk in cooler, leading to the walk in freezer. The ice creates a surface that is not smooth and easily cleanable. Inspect cooler, to see if there is a leak causing the ice accumulation and repair by next routine inspection. - 4-202.16: NonFOOD-CONTACT SURFACES shall be free of unnecessary ledges, projections, and crevices, and designed and constructed to allow easy cleaning and to facilitate maintenance. - V |
Inspection Comments |
Inspection occurred during distribution to families. All coolers were emptied for easy access to "shoppers". Set up is very thought out, well organized, and safe. Would recommend that meat, even though it is frozen, be kept separate from other foods during storage and distribution. Talked to Paula about the Food Pantry Network. She has a lot of experience and wisdom to offer the food pantry community. |
HACCP Topic: Keeping yogurt parfaits with dairy products instead of desserts, Glove usage during repackaging, Labeling for repackaging. |
